Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine  that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam  deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.
I know this is a no-duh for 90% of people reading it but for the sake of the rest lets revise what we all should know about online phishig. And before you go all:

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Contest Ideas...

So from a few members [link] it sounds like a contest would be a fun idea. Let's all come up with ideas first and how this would work since I've never done this before... I can't do polls on here since I don't have the money to upgrade the group to super.

Here's one idea posted by Haleys-Comet [link] that I thought sounds like fun -
"I think that we should have an uncommon fairy tales contest, find fairy tales that haven't been made into a major motion pictures and depict them in visual media. Judging to be based on level of obscurity, impact and skill."

But ideas on how to run the contest and for the contest would be much appreciated :D

The ideas sound great, just one thing. Make sure you have more than one judge, and don't be biased when picking out your winner. Other than that I can't wait for the contest!!!! :D

Well first of all there is the issue of prizes, if money is an issue I suppose subscriptions are off the table, might I suggest asking members to donate features in their journals for the winner and runners up, plus a gallery folder in the group for contest winners.
Then there is the issue of judging, who will be judging, or how will we vote?
Next, should there be different categories? eg. Traditional, digital, photography, literary renditions.
Maybe ask some of the clubs affiliates if they will advertise our contest in one of their blog entries once all the details are worked out, so that we get as many contest entries as possible.
Establish whether or not they need to be new deviations or not, and establish a start and end date for the contest, also state any guidelines regarding graphic material.

and while we are at it, maybe start a donation pool to see if we can update to super group. ;)
